Kershaw Method Folding Knife

Kershaw Anso Method Liner Lock Knife 1170  Review I’ve owned several Kershaw knives over the years and recently came across the Kershaw Method 1170 knife to add to my various collection of knives I already own.  Kershaw kept to their standards and the Kershaw Method folding knife is sharp and well designed. It’s become a great, all-around EDC (Every Day Carry) knife. Special Features The 3-inch Method blade is constructed using 8Cr13MoV stainless steel.  Dressed all in a blackwash finish, the Kershaw Method opens fast and without hesitation with the built in flipper on the KVT Ball Bearing system.  However, even more noticeable than how it opens, would be the overall weight, at a mere 2.1 ounces. Rugged or Gentlemanly What’s So Special About the Kershaw Method? The Kershaw Method is a sleek, slim 3-inch EDC pocket knife.  Its textured design is just rough enough to give the appropriate amount of grip without taking away from the overall design.  A custom design loop was added to the rear of the knife where a lanyard could be added should you be the type to tether your blade to your belt or wrist. The “gentleman” design did not stop at the design of the knife or handle, but also carries over to the pocket clip design.  The clip is a single position clip has a low profile which decreases the chances of it catching on clothing or other items. The pocket clip low profile design style provides a snug fit to your pocket, so the fear of it coming loose, is slim to none. Design and Features The black G10 handle features an architectural truss design that offers additional grip ability.  Adding a touch of finesse, the large lanyard attachment is seated at the base of the handle.  An inset liner lock keeps the Method solid and secure whether opened or closed. Adding Kershaw’s trademarked finish, Blackwash, the Method opens quickly, easily, and manually with the built-in flipper and KVT ball-bearing system. Overall Impression Having been with me most of the time, the Method has performed well on all deployments, which is no surprise. The performance is yet another example of the dedication Kershaw wishes to provide to its users.  The Method’s sleek and slim design, tied to its extreme light weight will appeal to many users. How Much? The Kershaw Method 1170 sells on Amazon for $26.12online here; Kershaw METHOD knife It is very affordable and is backed by Kershaw’s limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.  It would make a great gift for the everyday knife carrier in your house!
